PROJECT PORTFOLIO V

I began by placing my spotting notes in my arrangement section, to help me stay on track with the client's required scoring at the required set times. Then, I proceeded to drop as many markers as I felt I needed to land certain chords and notes on to emphasize the emotion.

I then began to lay out my Leit Motif using the bass line, and major chords on a Violin 1. I utilized BBC Symphony and Contact for majority of my VST plugins. I then decided to go with a 60's style drumlin for the percussion. I needed to present the setting as a wedding reception party. I needed something that sounded elegant, but up beat to fit the modern actors within the reception. I believe I pulled this off very well. Then I began to add the various emotional shift parts using the strings from BBC orchestra VST.

I love how the strings brought out the emotion within the kissing scene, and how they created attention during the interruption of the crowd. Also, the confession part was done with light orchestration, as requested. I then began to lay out all of my automation, turning the instruments down as they walked outside, and fading them out to nothing when it was no music required.
